I have an old Dell OptiPlex GX110 that has windows nt 2000 professional, the OS initiates and the start music plays, but no task bar, no icons, just the mouse pointer and the blue backround, and i don't find the program cd's, i downloaded the 3 disks, but the repair disk that the pc made didn't help to repair, am i out of luck? what can i do?

is ur monitor's view size set to full screen (not more then wat ur screen size is) (use ur MONITOR's keys to adjust display size/position)
if yes, then try resize desktop resulation to higher (800*600 or 1024*768)

Is it possible to use a Compact Flash card instead of a floppy disk as a target disk ?
I have an application that runs in a Compact Flash card which has all the files for Windows NT Embedded 4.0 but is unbootable. I have to turn it bootable again ! I have a backup of all the related files
